Maternity Client Closet | What to Wear for Your Santa Fe Maternity Session

One of the most common questions I receive as a Santa Fe maternity photographer is: “What should I wear for my maternity photos?”

Why I Offer a Maternity Client Closet

Pregnancy is a special season, and the last thing you need is the stress of shopping for something you may only wear once.

My maternity client closet allows you to:

• Arrive relaxed and ready

• Try on dresses at your session

• Choose what feels best on your body that day

• Create cohesive, elegant images

• Avoid unnecessary shopping expenses

Most dresses are stretchy and designed to fit a wide range of sizes comfortably. Most of our dresses are stretchy and fit most sizes. most clients pick a couple at their session to try on and then choose which to use instead of coming in days before their session for a fitting. If you'd prefer to try dresses on before your maternity session in Santa Fe, you’re welcome to schedule a fitting at the studio, just email to schedule an appointment.  

What to Wear Under Your Dress

Because many of the dresses are form-fitting to beautifully show off your belly, seamless undergarments work best.

I recommend:

• Nude no-show underwear

• Seamless options to avoid visible lines

• Maternity shapewear (optional but helpful for smoothing) 

Comfort is always the priority — shapewear is never required, but some clients love how it helps gowns lay smoothly.

My fav underwear is the Victoria’s Secret ‘No-Show’ line. They come in different styles like bikini, thong, cheeky and such. The nude color works best! Since their website changes constantly I won’t post a link but if you use the search bar on their website and type in ‘no-show panties’ it’ll bring them up.

These are the shape wear I have bought from Amazon when I was pregnant and got them in larger size just so they'd be comfy. I have included them into my client closet (size XL) for your convince if you choose to use them.
